Shop Types
Tradorn offers four shop types, each specializing in a different product category. Your choice of shop determines what you sell, who buys from you, and how fast your money grows.
All Shop Types
| Shop | Category | Products | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grocery | Food | 12 products | Beginners, high-volume traders |
| Fashion | Clothing | 5 products | Mid-level traders seeking good margins |
| Tech | Technology | 6 products | Capital-rich traders, Industrial Zone |
| Jewelry | Luxury | 5 products | Endgame players, luxury regions |
Understanding the Categories
Each category has fundamentally different economics:
- Food has the highest consumption rate (0.15 units/NPC/hour) — products sell fast, but margins per sale tend to be modest.
- Clothing has moderate consumption (0.06 units/NPC/hour) — fewer sales than food, but each sale earns more.
- Technology has slow consumption (0.03 units/NPC/hour) — products are expensive, sales are infrequent, but individual transactions are large.
- Luxury has the slowest consumption (0.01 units/NPC/hour) — extremely slow turnover, but the highest per-sale margins in the game.
Choosing Your Shop Type
For new players, the decision is straightforward: start with Grocery. The high demand ensures quick turnover and consistent income while you learn the game mechanics.
As you grow, diversify into Fashion for better margins, then Tech for high-value sales, and finally Jewelry for the ultimate endgame profits. A well-rounded empire typically runs shops across multiple categories in the regions best suited for each.
Quality Tiers
All products across all shop types come in three supplier tiers:
- Cheap — Lowest buy price, lowest NPC appeal
- Standard — Balanced cost and appeal, recommended for most situations
- Premium — Highest buy price, highest NPC appeal, best for wealthy regions
The right tier depends on your region, competition level, and available capital. See individual shop pages for specific guidance.
