Guild Wars

Guild Wars are Tradorn's premier competitive event. Every weekend, guilds clash for regional control, rankings, and bragging rights. This is where coordinated trading strategies meet direct competition, and the stakes are real.

When Do Wars Happen?

Guild Wars take place every weekend. The war period begins Friday evening and ends Sunday night. During this window, special war mechanics activate that do not exist during normal weekday trading.

How Wars Work

During a Guild War, guilds compete for regional control. The guild whose members generate the most total revenue in a region during the war period gains control of that region for the following week. Controlling a region grants prestige and ranking points.

The war is fought across all 10 regions simultaneously. A well-organized guild will assign members to specific regions to maximize coverage and revenue.

Sabotage Mechanics

Guild Wars introduce sabotage — a unique mechanic only available during war periods. Sabotage lets you disrupt competing guild members' shops in contested regions.

Sabotage actions can:

  • Temporarily reduce a competitor's shop appeal
  • Disrupt their supply chains, slowing restocking
  • Lower their reputation score in the targeted region

Sabotage is a double-edged sword. Time spent sabotaging is time not spent generating revenue. A good war strategy balances offense (sabotaging competitors) with defense (maintaining your own sales output).

Rankings

Guilds are ranked based on their performance across all Guild Wars. Rankings consider:

  • Regions controlled — More regions controlled means higher rank
  • Total war revenue — The combined earnings of all guild members during war periods
  • War participation — Guilds that consistently show up outperform those that skip weekends

The leaderboard updates in real time during wars, creating a dynamic competitive atmosphere.

War Strategy

Offense

  • Target high-population regions first. Central Plaza (18%) and North Harbor (14%) are the most valuable targets.
  • Coordinate sabotage. Focus your guild's sabotage on a single rival rather than spreading it across many competitors.
  • Disrupt the leader. If one guild controls most regions, concentrate your efforts on taking their highest-value territories.

Defense

  • Stock heavily before the war starts. Running out of inventory mid-war wastes precious revenue time.
  • Price competitively during wars. Sacrificing margin for volume during war weekends generates more total revenue and more ranking points.
  • Spread across regions. Do not put all members in one region. A guild that competes in seven regions beats one that dominates three.

Communication

  • Use guild chat actively during wars. Real-time coordination wins wars.
  • Assign roles. Some members focus on revenue generation, others on sabotage, and some on defending key regions.
  • Debrief after each war. Discuss what worked, what did not, and adjust strategy for next weekend.

Tips

  • Guild Wars reward consistent participation. Show up every weekend, even if your guild is small.
  • Do not neglect weekday trading for war preparation. A guild with well-funded members during peacetime fights better on weekends.
  • Forming alliances with other guilds — even informally — can help counter dominant guilds that control multiple regions.
  • Wars are the most exciting part of Tradorn. Embrace the competition and have fun with it.
