Leveling Up
Your level in Tradorn determines what regions you can access, which shop types you can open, and when you can create a guild. Understanding how XP works helps you progress efficiently.
How You Earn XP
XP is earned from sales revenue. Every time an NPC buys a product from your shop, you gain XP proportional to the sale amount. Higher-priced products give more XP per sale, but they also sell less frequently. The most efficient XP generation comes from high-volume sales with decent margins.
Level Thresholds
Level requirements increase with diminishing returns — early levels come quickly, but each subsequent level requires more total XP. The first few levels take minutes; reaching Level 70 takes sustained effort over weeks.
What Levels Unlock
| Level | Unlock |
|---|---|
| 1 | North Harbor, South Bazaar regions |
| 5 | East Valley region |
| 10 | West Plains region, Guild creation |
| 15 | Central Plaza region |
| 20 | Industrial Zone region |
| 30 | Historic Quarter region |
| 40 | Harbor Front region |
| 55 | Mountain Foothills region |
| 70 | Riverside region |
Each new region brings access to larger populations and higher profit potential. Expanding into new regions is one of the best ways to accelerate your income.
Tips for Faster Leveling
- Maximize sales volume — Grocery shops in high-population regions generate the most XP per hour because food demand is the highest.
- Stay stocked — An empty shop earns zero XP. Always have inventory ready for the next purchase cycle.
- Expand to new regions as soon as you unlock them — More shops in more regions means more simultaneous sales.
- Complete quests — Daily and weekly quests award bonus XP alongside their money rewards. Check them regularly.
- Use quality tiers strategically — Premium products generate higher per-sale XP but cost more. Balance your budget.
The Long Game
Do not rush leveling at the expense of your finances. A player with three well-stocked shops earning steady income will out-level someone who opened five shops but cannot afford to keep them stocked. Build a strong economic foundation and the levels will follow naturally.
